WHO WE ARE

Based on the beautiful coastline of Northern New South Wales, Cape Byron Celtic Dance strives to produce a fun, friendly and family filled atmosphere where creativity is the key.

Specialising in traditional Scottish and Irish dance, along side original performance choreography pieces that incorporate all Celtic Dance forms.

Since being established back in 1992 Cape Byron Celtic Dance has been participating in all areas of performance from Celtic Festivals and formal events, to teaming up with Celtic bands, producing successful competitive dancers locally and internationally.


When we're not performing as Cape Byron Celtic Dance, we often appear as 'The Piglets' alongside the award-winning eleven piece Celtic band, Murphy's Pigs.

CLASSES WE OFFER

At Cape Byron Celtic Dance we practice both Irish and Highland styles of dance. We pride ourselves on our intricate choreography pieces where we incorporate both Irish and Highland styles. If you have any questions regarding classes and what would suit you, please call or send a message via the Contact tab.

IRISH DANCE

Catering for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Molly Armstrong (Registered TCRG - pictured right) leads all Irish dance classes. We mostly create choreography pieces for performances, often paired with other styles such as highland dance. We have classes for beginners of all ages and can also cater to students wanting to dance competitively.

HIGHLAND DANCE

Highland classes are lead by Karen Armstrong (SOBHD) and assistant teacher Brehahn Tulloch. Teaching and practicing traditional highland dances for competitions, as well as creating choreography pieces in the highland style. Often paired with Irish style dance to create multifaceted performance pieces.
